Composites and pioneering have been our unique selling points since the founding of KVE in 1996. By conducting both engineering, production and repair in-house, we can assure that our solutions maximize the potential of composites in terms of weight, stiffness and functionality. For more than 25 years, KVE has successfully supplied customers in demanding markets such as aerospace, defense and machine building.

Our way of working complies with the regulations put upon us by the high-tech markets that we supply to. We have a AS9100 quality system in place and are professional in the way we deal with confidential information. For defence projects, we comply with ITAR and EAR regulations.

KVE is fully owned by Daher, an aircraft manufacturer and an industry and service equipment supplier with a turnover of 1.3 billion euros in 2022. Today, present in 13 countries, Daher is a leader in Industry 4.0, designing and developing value-added solutions for its industrial partners.

Our history

In 1996, Kok & Van Engelen Composite Structures BV was founded by Winand Kok and Harm van Engelen. The company started as a composite engineering company doing design and analysis of composite structures, but soon after, a prototyping workshop was needed to actually build and test these structures.

The company focused on high-end composite structures where the use of composites had a real, technical added value: low weight & high stiffness, but also transparent for radar and X-ray, electrically conductive, fatigue insensitive, zero-thermal expansion. The company gradually build up a reputation for some specific markets and processes, including composite repair, rotor blades, thermoplastic welding, and radomes.

In 2019, Daher acquired KVE Composites Group, consisting nowadays of KVE Composites in Den Haag and KVE Composites Repair in Maastricht. Since 2023, Kjelt van Rijswijk is the Managing Director of KVE Composites and Harm van Engelen the Managing Director of KVE Composites Repair.
