• 02-04-2012Launch of KVE Composite Awareness Training Course

  • KVE Composites Repair, in cooperation with the Aviation Competence Centre, have successfully concluded the first training for composites repair technicians. To prepare the next generation of aircraft maintenance technicians, the 5-day KVE Composites Awareness Training Course was attended by composite repair technicians of KVE Composites Repair. This KVE Composites Awareness Training Course is compliant with the intent of AIR5719 and all Terminal Course Objectives (TCOs).

    

    Mr. Simon Fidder, training specialist of Competences in Composites and instructor for KVE Composites Repair training: ‘We had a very enthusiastic and dedicated group of technicians this week and it was good to see that the awareness of composites and their repair skills improved over the course’.

    Mr. Maarten de Klerk, Accountable Manager of the Aviation Competence Centre: ‘This initial course underlines the cooperation between the ACC and local MRO’s. We want to further build these relationships and by doing so improve the Quality of the Next Generation of Aircraft Mechanics. So together we can strengthen the MRO capacity in the Maastricht Maintenance Boulevard. KVE Composites has supported us very well in setting up our composites lab, inaugurated by the training which has just finished. We look forward to the next Composite Awareness Class, and hope to welcome you on this course to experience what can be achieved by simply working together‘.

  • KVE Composites at SETEC2011

    At the upcoming SAMPE Europe Technical Conference, to be held from 14-16 September 2011 in Leiden, The Netherlands, KVE Composites will be present. Two presentations will be given on current research topics within KVE. One presentation will discuss developments in compression moulding, both thermoset and thermoplastics. The second presentation deals with the current status of the KVE induction welding process. Also, KVE Composites wil have a table top presentation on the advanced composites products and services delivered. At the table top, you can meet KVE employees to discuss advanced composite topics. • 08-04-2010KVE wins JEC Innovation Award

  • KVE Composites Group, Fokker Aerostructures, Gulfstream Aerospace, Royal Ten Cate and Ticona have won the JEC Innovation Award 2010 in the category aeronautics. This prestigious prize has been awarded for the first welded thermoplastic composite control surfaces of the all new Gulfstream G650, using KVE’s patented induction welding technology.

    The award will be officially presented to the teaming partners during the Awards ceremony of the JEC Composites Show in Paris starting April the 13^th 2010. During the exhibition the Award winning control surfaces will be exposed in the ‘Innovation area’ and at the Ticona booth.
